Clear, Transparent Pricing for NDIS-Funded Physiotherapy & Robotic Rehab
At PhysioNXT, we provide high-quality, personalised NDIS physiotherapy services in our Ashburton clinic, in the community, and through physiotherapy at home across Melbourne’s eastern and south-eastern suburbs. We work with both plan-managed and self-managed participants and are committed to transparent pricing and ethical billing.
Whether you're working on mobility, neurological recovery, or daily living goals, our team is here to support you every step of the way.
An Initial and Standard Consultation or Appointment typically lasts 60 minutes.
When the Lokomat is used during the initial consultation, the session extends to 120 minutes to accommodate the additional setup and treatment time, making the most of the client's appointment.
Each consultation includes 45 minutes of direct client interaction, followed by 15 minutes allocated for practitioner administration tasks such as documentation and planning.
Practitioner administration time involves documenting session details and tracking progress toward client goals, as well as planning for upcoming appointments.
Our Allied Health practitioners are responsible for maintaining accurate records of each session, including the therapy approaches or interventions used, the outcomes achieved, and key discussions that took place.
Additionally, they document the NDIS goals addressed during the session and any progress made toward these objectives.
For home or community visits, travel time is billed at the relevant hourly rate for each practitioner and Allied Health Assistant, in accordance with the NDIS Price Guide. This includes the actual time spent traveling to and from a participant’s location.
For visits beyond 20 kilometers from the clinic, additional charges will apply for the total kilometers travelled, as well as any toll costs incurred.
When multiple participants are seen in the same area, travel time and associated costs are shared and evenly divided among those participants to ensure fair and transparent billing.
Within 100 days prior to the participant’s NDIS plan end date, practitioners are required to complete a progress report to support the plan review process with the NDIA planner, Local Area Coordinator and/or support coordinator.
This report outlines the participant’s progress, outcomes achieved, and recommendations for future support.
Report writing will be billed at a minimum of 2.0 hours.
In the case of a ‘Short Notice Cancellation’ or a no-show, PhysioNXT will charge 100% of the agreed service fee from the participant’s NDIS plan, in accordance with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, and as outlined in the participant’s service agreement.
A cancellation is considered ‘Short Notice’ if:
What are two clear business days?
Two clear business days means the cancellation must be made at least two full working days before the appointment, not including weekends or public holidays.
Example:
If a participant has an appointment at 10:00 AM on a Wednesday, notice must be given before 5:00 PM on the Saturday prior. A cancellation made any time after 5:00 PM on Saturday would be considered ‘Short Notice’ and subject to the full service fee.
Practitioners may be involved in a range of Non-Face-to-Face (NF2F) activities that support a participant’s care. These can include attending care team meetings or case conferences, consulting with other healthcare professionals, and reviewing or updating treatment plans. They may also document session details, write progress reports, prepare therapy resources, and research interventions to improve client outcomes.
In addition, practitioners might communicate with clients or their families via phone or email for updates and follow-ups, coordinate with schools or workplaces, and complete other administrative tasks related to client care.
Practitioners will always inform you in advance when NF2F activities are required, explain their purpose, and outline how they provide value for money.
These services are billed at the practitioner’s standard hourly rate.
We follow the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits for physiotherapy under the Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living category.
*Travel is charged in accordance with NDIS rules (up to 30 minutes return) and pro-rated in 5-minute increments.
In line with NDIS guidelines, we may bill for the following non face-to-face services if they directly support your therapy goals:
All non-direct services are billed at the standard NDIS physiotherapy rate with full transparency. Time spent is clearly itemised in our invoices.
PhysioNXT is Melbourne’s only provider of Lokomat® robotic-assisted gait training, a highly specialised therapy for neurological rehab.
Due to the cost of technology and clinical resources, Lokomat sessions are billed at $225 per session.
Lokomat is ideal for individuals with stroke, spinal cord injury, MS, cerebral palsy, and Parkinson’s, and can be claimed under Capacity Building if aligned with your plan goals.
