Introducing the Lokomat®
PhysioNXT is proud to be the home to the only Lokomat in MELBOURNE, VICTORIA.
The Lokomat® is a Swiss made state of the art technology and the world leading robotic medical device, designed for physical rehabilitation.
After significant research and trials by our client ambassador, we carefully selected the Lokomat as the robotic assisted gait training device of choice for PhysioNXT.
The Lokomat was invented in the early 2000s which means that it has been tried and tested. Currently there are more than 1000+ Lokomats within rehabilitation centres globally yet only four in Australia.
Lokomat training can help clients with physical injuries or illnesses including;
- Spinal cord injuries
- Brain injuries
- Stroke
- Cerebral palsy
- Other musculoskeletal & neurological conditions
Those with orthopaedic condition(s) such as hip replacements needing the extra body weight support and robot assistance may also benefit.
